Iron Man

IronManI had really high hopes for this movie. With such a great cast, storyline and special effects I just knew it was going to be awesome and I wasn’t disappointed in the least bit when I saw it with my Dad a week or so ago. I was lucky enough to see it in the biggest theater of the Cinema I went to on a huge screen with very few distractions.

Probably the best part about the movie to me was the fact that it didn’t take itself too seriously. There was enough decent comedy in the film to make it fun and interesting. Tony Starks character played by Robert Downey Jr. had just the right combination of Movie Star and Hero qualities. Not to mention all the funny one liners Stark’s character gets in.

Another great part of the movie was Pepper Potts character played by Gwyneth Paltrow. Gwyneth was able to make a role that could have appeared completely sexist and dated seem more modern and liberated. I would have liked to have gotten more of a back-story to Potts character though, along with the other secondary characters but I’m sure we will learn more as the franchise goes along. I can’t wait to see the next one.

Ending April

So I’m deleting my MySpace. Dun dun dunnn lightening clashes in the distance as an emo kid screams. Yes, much to my horror, it’s true. I have to look as this deletion as the start of a new beginning, a new MySpace horizon if you will. I am not giving up the Spaceinator cold turkey though; I’ve made a new one. It’s cooler looking anyways. Why is it that everyone is so obsessed with MySpace and of course its nerdy little bro Face book? I mean, maybe it’s the need to feel connected. Or maybe it’s just a little bit of vanity mixed with narcissism. Probably all of the above Whatever the reason tweens, teens, twenty-something’s and kids born before 1979 will continue to MySpace until something better comes along.

In other news…IRON MAN get’s released this week! I can’t wait!! I still don’t know when I will go see it. I am considering getting off work early on Friday and seeing it with my Dad. Who knows, but I know I will see it this weekend if I have to go by myself, which isn’t really that bad to tell you the truth. I use to think seeing a movie by yourself was sad and lonely but now I prefer it sometimes to having someone who talks or makes noise during the film. Distractions are annoying, sometimes unavoidable of course but when your talking or making noises I just want to make one of those perfect enunciated Shhhhh’s. The ones grade school teachers made famous. I will be sure to write a full review by the end of the weekend but my predictions are it’s gonna be totally awesome. (Please excuse my inner geek)

Oh and I updated my header, a little artwork on my part. I’ll probably change it next week. I can never make up my mind of how I want things to look. Indecisive Libra, guilty as charged.
